Located 160km south of Ha Noi in Ninh Binh province, Cuc Phuong National Park and the surrounding area make a perfect side trip from Ha Noi.The Park is an important nature reserve and ecosystem with peaks of over 600 Meters and valleys of subtropical rainforest. The Park also has an important Endangered Primate Rescue Center and a Turtle Conservation Center . It is home to other rare and critically endangered mammals including species of leopards and tigers. There are at least 280 known species of butterflies, and birders can marvel at more than 300 bird species.
