Luang Prabang - Vientiane - Laksao - Vinh - Hoa Lu - Hanoi - Ha Long - Bac Ninh - Hanoi
Day 1: ARRIVE IN LUANG PRABANG
Upon arrival at the airport, you will be met and transferred to the hotel. Luang Prabang is perhaps the best-preserved traditional city in Southeast Asia. The tranquility and charm of this town with its splendid natural scenery and cultural sights make it one of the most delightful places to visit in Laos. After a short rest, we visit the impressive stupa of Wat Visoun and the shrine of Wat Aham, Wat Mai; we then climb up to the top of Mount Phousi to explore the sacred, gilded stupa as well as capture a beautiful view of the city and the Mekong River at sunset. From there, we visit the Night Market, where you can browse a lovely selection of handmade textiles, made by the local and hilltribe people surrounding Luang Prabang. Overnight in Luang Prabang.
Day 2: LUANG PRABANG - PAK OU CAVES - KUANG SII WATERFALLS (B)
After breakfast, we enjoy a short-guided tour seeing the city’s oldest temple of Wat Sene and the magnificent Wat Xiengthong with its roofs sweeping low to the ground, which represents classical Laotian architecture. We then board a cruise upstream on the Mekong River, which also gives us a panaromic view of the tranquil countryside as well as an interesting visit to the mysterious of Pak Ou Caves, two linked caves crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes left by pilgrims. Along the way, we stop at the small village of Ban Xanghai, where the local rice wine is distilled. We return to Luang Prabang in the afternoon, on the way we take a short drive to Ban Phanom, a small village well known for its hand weaving.
In the afternoon, we continue our excursion toward Khouangsi Waterfall, en route, we visit local villages of Lao ethnic minority groups at Ban Ouay, Hmong Village, Ban Ou, Laoloum Village and Ban Thapene, Khmu Village, then drive to the beautiful Khouangsi Waterfall where you can splash around in the turquoise pools or walk along the forest trails. We return to Luang Prabang by late afternoon and continue to Ban Xangkhong, a village well known for silk handweaving and for traditional Saa Paper making. We return to the city by late evening to observe the sunset at Wat Siphouthabath.

Day 3: LUANG PRABANG - VIENTIANE (B)
The National Museum (close Tuesday) at the former Royal Palace, displays a lovely collection of the artefacts reflecting the richness of Lao culture dating from the days of the early kings right through the last sovereign. The National Museum and the Central Market are not to be missed. We visit these sights in the morning before catching our flight to Vientiane.
Upon arrival in Vientiane, we see the major sights of the capital; including the oldest Wat Sisaket, the temple with thousands of miniature Buddha statues and the former royal temple of Wat Prakeo, which previously housed the famous Emerald Buddha Image. On the way to Lao’s national precious heritage, the famous and sacred structure of That Luang Stupa, we stop enroute to take some pictures of the imposing Patuxay Monument, which is well known as Vientiane’s own Arc de Triumph. We watch the sunset by Mekong Riverside and spend the evening here absorbing the city’s nightlife.

Day 4: VIENTIANE - LAKSAO - VINH (B)
Take a full-day scenic drive to Laksao Border crossing for entry into Vietnam (300 km). (Immigration formalities will have already been arranged before arrival at the border crossing). Drive to Vinh city in the north central Vietnam and transfer to the hotel.

Day 5: VINH - HOA LU (B)
After breakfast, continue driving north to Hoa Lu (170 km), en route passing the rice paddy fields and small villages. Upon arrival in Hoa Lu, transfer to the hotel. The remainder of the day is free for self-exploring the town. Overnight in Hoa Lu.
Day 6: HOA LU - HANOI (B)
Take a sampan ride to explore the limestone cliffs in Tam Coc. The region is widely known as the “Terrestrial Halong Bay”. View temples, art and architecture of the ancient capital of Vietnam in the late 10th century. Road to Hanoi (90 km). Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 7: HANOI (B)
A full day explore Hanoi - graceful capital of Vietnam. Visit Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum and his former residence (close on Monday & Friday), the One Pillar Pagoda, the Temple of Literature, the Ethnology Museum, the Lake of the Restored Sword, and Ngoc Son Temple. An one-hour cyclo tour of Hanoi’s Old Quarter is a relaxing way. Evening enjoy a performance of Hanoi’s famous water puppets. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 8: HANOI - HA LONG (B, L, D)
Morning drive through the Red River delta to Halong Bay (165 km). Upon arrival, we board a traditional wooden junk for a cruise through the spectacle of the nature - Ha Long Bay, the Vietnam's most scenic site. Explore its natural beauty and cave. If weather permit, we can dive off the boat and have a pleasant swimming in the deep blue water of South China Sea. Overnight on board.
Day 9: HA LONG - BAC NINH - HANOI (B)
Continue our cruise exploring the natural beauty of the World Heritage. Afternoon drive back to Hanoi. Stop en route at Bac Ninh Province to have more knowledge of Vietnamese’s history and culture. You are welcome at Dinh Bang Village; take some minutes transfer by horse drawn carriage or ox cart to Do temple for visiting. This temple was building during the Le Dynasty and has been altered several times since. The major reconstruction took place under the reign of Le Trung Hung in the 17th century. And then we enjoy traditional music show “Quan Ho” or called Quan Ho Folk song. Continue our drive back to Hanoi.
Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 10: DEPART HANOI (B)
Free at leisure until transfer to Noi Bai International airport for departure flight. End of services.
