Detail Itinerary

    Day 1: ARRIVE IN HANOI

    Arrive in Hanoi, transfer to the hotel. Stroll around the downtown to explore the different local ways of life and if the time permit, we will visit the Vietnam’s thousand-year-old capital city including Ho Chi Minh’s mausoleum (close on Monday & Friday),  Presidential Palace, One Pillar pagoda, West Lake, Tran Vu Pagoda, Lake of the Restored Sword, Ngoc Son Temple and Temple of Literature. Late afternoon we take a short pedicab tour through the bustling old quarter streets which is submited to Unesco to be recognized as World Culture Heritage. Evening enjoy a performance of Hanoi’s famous water puppets (unique to Vietnam).  Overnight in Hanoi.

    Day 2: HANOI - HA LONG (B, L, D)

    Overland to Ha Long Bay which is two times awarded the World Natural Heritage Site by UNESCO World Heritage Committee in 1994 and 2000. Upon arrival, we board a traditional wooden junk to discover the breathtaking Ha Long Bay, Vietnam most wonderful scenic sight; take a fantastic view of the picturesque scenery, skylined with over 3,000 limestone islets rising amazingly from the clear and emerald water, with hundreds of peerless karst formations and beautiful grottoes and caves. Along the way we will anchor for a leisure swim in a secluded cove or climb on a hill for a spectacular overview of the Bay.

    Day 3: HA LONG - HANOI - DONG HOI (B)

    Continue cruise around this magnificent landscape visiting Dinh Huong island, Ga Choi island, Dog island, Sail island, cave of Surprise, the biggest and most beautiful cave in Ha Long beautifully decorated by thousand of stalactites and stalagmites.

    Afternoon leave Ha Long to Hanoi. Stop-over at Dong Trieu ceramic village where the famous blue and white pottery is produced.

    Late evening transfer to the Hanoi Railway Station for an overnight train to Dong Hoi.

    Day 4: DONG HOI - PHONG NHA - DONG HOI (B)

    Early morning arrive in Dong Hoi. After breakfast we proceed to Phong Nha. Boat cruise to discover Phong Nha, a recognized  World Natural Heritage Site since 2003 and one of the world’s two largest limestones regions; opportunities to explore the world’s longest underground river, the largest caverns and passageways, the widest and prettiest sand banks, and the most astonishing rock formations. Return to Dong Hoi.

    Overnight in Dong Hoi.

    Day 5: DONG HOI - HUE (B, D)

    We drive to Hue, Vietnam’s last feudal capital, a recognized World Cultural Heritage Site since 1993. Visit the Imperial Citadel, the Purple Forbidden City, the bustling Dong Ba market.

    Evening enjoy a royal dinner with Hue traditional music and songs while we dress like Emperor, Empress or Mandarins.

    Overnight in Hue.

    Day 6: HUE (B)

    Morning boat cruise on the romantic Perfume river to visit Hue’s oldest and best-known religious site, Thien Mu pagoda, and to the elaborate mausoleum of Emperor Minh Mang.

    Afternoon we continue to visit the elaborate royal tombs of Emperor Tu Duc and Khai Dinh, the ancient pagodas built over 300 years ago. Overnight in Hue.

    Day 7: HUE - HOI AN (B)

    Morning departure to Hoi An. We walk around this ancient town of 600-year old, an exceptionally well-preserved example of a traditional Asian trading port and a recognized World Cultural Heritage Site since 1999. Visit its colourful pagodas, temples, ancient houses, narrow streets and amazing bridges with exclusive architecture of mixed Vietnamese, Chinese and Japanese styles from the 16th century.

    Late afternoon, excursion to Cam Chau village to see villagers make their traditional lanterns.

    Overnight in Hoi An.

    Day 8: MY SON (B)

    Excursion to My Son Holyland, an exceptional example of cultural interchange, with the introduction of the Hindu architecture of the Indian sub-continent into South East Asia, was recognized the World Cultural Heritage Site in the 23rd session of UNESCO World Heritage Committee in December 1999. Contemplate the extraordinary brick towers and sanctuaries dating back to between the 7th and the 13th centuries of the former spiritual and political capital of Champa Kingdom that dominated South East Asia for nearly a thousand years.

    Back to Hoi An. Take a sunset boat trip through the tranquil scenery of Thu Bon River to see the local life along both sides of the river.  Overnight in Hoi An.

    Day 9: HOI AN - DA NANG - HO CHI MINH CITY (B)

    Morning flight to Ho Chi Minh city, the most exciting city of Vietnam, a mecca of commerce, also a city with a chequered history and a rich culture, its pagodas, museums, public buildings, parks and boulevards make it one of the most delightful places to visit in Vietnam. Visit the Reunification Palace, the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Old Saigon Post Office, the History Museum, the China town with Thien Hau Pagoda and Binh Tay Wholesale Market.

    Overnight in Ho Chi Minh city.

    Day 10: DEPART HO CHI MINH CITY (B)

    Free at leisure until transfer to Tan Son Nhat airport for departure flight.

    End of services.
